Fans of country/pop artist Jes Marie know she is on the rise. A cross between the fun, upbeat sound of Kelsea Ballerini and the big, anthemic hooks of Shania Twain, in a sea of country artists, Jes stands out. Her mix of traditional country instrumentation has a cutting edge dance twist that is delighting her audience worldwide.
From her small town of Frederick, Maryland, where Jes grew up singing since the age of 4, Jes traveled to Boston to further her craft and graduated from Berklee College of Music. She then moved to Los Angeles, where she currently resides.
Her debut single, “Birds and the Bees,” released in November of 2018, was hand-picked by Spotify’s professional curators for their prestigious “New Music Nashville” playlist. Jes’s strong following on Instagram (approx. 100K) has attracted fans from across the globe. She has had song placements on long-running CBS soap “The Young & The Restless,” Hallmark Channel Original films, and more. She is a proud graduate of Berklee College of Music.
Jes Marie’s new single, “Party in the Sun,” is set to debut on May 17th, with an accompanying music video to follow. She is thrilled to share her new song, produced by Simon Jay (2019 Grammy Awards, Kennedy Center Honors, Primetime Emmy Awards) with the world.
Jes is excited to be a part of the women’s movement in country music. She believes the time has come for more female artists to be played on the radio, and is proud to be included in this tribe of strong women, forging their way ahead in the industry. She believes in empowering people to go after their dreams, and know that whatever they set their hearts and minds to do is possible.
